1)You choose the gorgeous backdrop for your destination wedding. Beach weddings are very popular but there are infinite wedding locations. (Couples love getting married by water as it is a marvelous stage.)
2)You can combine the wedding & the honeymoon. No need to book a separate honeymoon trip. The bride & groom can stay with the wedding party or honeymoon at another resort nearby. (An adult’s only all-inclusive resort is heavenly without the kiddie pool but if children are attending then a family resort with lots of amenities is a wise choice.)
3)This is a great time to spend real time with your friends & family. You will have more than a few minutes with friends as your wedding day is spread out over several days. Do not be disappointed in those that cannot make it though. Usually the guest pays for their own trip. (Keep the welfare of your guests in mind. You know your friends & family. If you want them at your destination wedding do not break their banks!)
4)Wedding couples can save a lot of money depending on their destination wedding location. Remember that you are not paying for sit a down dinner for 200 guests. Destination weddings tend to be smaller & more intimate. (Your guests are traveling to be with you. Make it special for them too. Put on a bit of a show.)
5)You can do it your way. Usually the bride is inundated with wedding advice from good intentioned friends & family. It can be over whelming. No need to listen to them. You would be wise, however, to take the advice of the resorts wedding coordinator. ( I do not suggest having a destination wedding at a resort without a wedding coordinator unless it is a very small wedding with lower expectations.)
Getting married in a beautiful and romantic destination is what every engaged couple dreams of. In addition to making all your dreams come true, a destination wedding is also:
Most resorts have full-time, onsite wedding planners, arranging every aspect of your special day and leaving you nothing to do but relax.
Having your family and special friends around you in a beautiful destination will create a celebration you’ll never forget.
Destination weddings are often less expensive than traditional weddings due to their smaller size. In addition, you’re already in the destination where you plan to spend your honeymoon, and many resorts offer special complimentary weddings or affordable wedding packages. You’ll also spend a lot less by choosing an all-inclusive resort where much of the food and beverage expense is part of the lodging costs that will be assumed by your guests. You can also save more by having your wedding during the slow season in the destination you choose.
With many of today’s families spread out throughout the United States, they’ll have to travel to your wedding anyway, so why not have them travel to a beautiful and fun destination instead!?
