I love Jamaica. It was so fun to return again this time for a destination wedding seminar at Sandals Whitehouse Resort & Spa. Yes, another working vacation in paradise.
Sandals Whitehouse is on the south side to Jamaica. An hour & 40 minute (Mario Andretti) ride over the mountains. For clients staying less than 4 nights I would not suggest it because of the distance. For a slightly longer stay the drive is well worth it.
If you seek luxury accommodations, gourmet dining, premium liquor, a first class spa, free diving, a swim up bar & quiet pools, a honeymoon vacation, or a designer destination wedding while surrounded by quiet elegance, Sandals Whitehouse is an excellent choice. I was impressed.
From the moment I arrived at Sandal’s White House the decompression started immediately. I was given a pink signature drink & cool towel as I checked in & given direction to my concierge suite while my luggage followed behind. I found a bottle of French sparkling blanc de blanc waiting in my concierge beach front walk out suite. I immediately poured myself a glass of bubbly & took a swim.
That evening we dined with the Sandals wedding coordinators on the terrace over looking the main pool. The staff served a five coarse wedding feast from one of the Martha Stewart designer weddings packages. The collaboration between Martha Stewart & Sandals is a hit. Their 6 themed wedding packages range in price from $1500 for the “Flutter of Romance” to $6000 for the” Island Paradise”. Between the Sandal's seminar & the resort inspection I found time to enjoy a Red Lane Spa treatment, the numerous gourmet dining options & views of the Caribbean Sea from my beach front suite. My own slice of heaven!
For our last evening at Sandals White House the wedding staff put on a mock wedding dinner & reception right on the beach. The only thing missing was the bride & groom. For the couple who dreams of a beach wedding in an exotic location, it is hard to imagine a more beautiful setting.
