Why Choose A Destination Wedding?

Written by

1)You choose the gorgeous backdrop for your destination wedding. Beach weddings are very popular but there are infinite wedding locations. (Couples love getting married by water as it is a marvelous stage.)

2)You can combine the wedding & the honeymoon. No need to book a separate honeymoon trip. The bride & groom can stay with the wedding party or honeymoon at another resort nearby. (An adult’s only all-inclusive resort is heavenly without the kiddie pool but if children are attending then a family resort with lots of amenities is a wise choice.)

3)This is a great time to spend real time with your friends & family. You will have more than a few minutes with friends as your wedding day is spread out over several days. Do not be disappointed in those that cannot make it though. Usually the guest pays for their own trip. (Keep the welfare of your guests in mind. You know your friends & family. If you want them at your destination wedding do not break their banks!)

4)Wedding couples can save a lot of money depending on their destination wedding location. Remember that you are not paying for sit a down dinner for 200 guests. Destination weddings tend to be smaller & more intimate. (Your guests are traveling to be with you. Make it special for them too. Put on a bit of a show.)

5)You can do it your way. Usually the bride is inundated with wedding advice from good intentioned friends & family. It can be over whelming. No need to listen to them. You would be wise, however, to take the advice of the resorts wedding coordinator. ( I do not suggest having a destination wedding at a resort without a wedding coordinator unless it is a very small wedding with lower expectations.)

You became engaged on Valentine’s Day.   You are so in love & so excited! Now what do you do?bahamas-wedding

Depending on your finances planning a traditional wedding can be a daunting task. Not only is wedding planning time consuming & stressful but at every turn you will need to spend more money.

Deciding on a destination wedding can alleviate stress & usually saves the bride & groom lots of money! There is one caveat however; if a couple tries to plan & coordinate the destination wedding trip on their own I can assure them the fun will disperse very quickly.

Accessing the help of a travel agent knowledgeable in the destination wedding process is essential to your success. A romance vacation agent can help you choose the right destination & property that fits you & your group. We have access to wedding group promotions via our relationships with the best destination wedding properties & our wholesale suppliers. Believe it or not there are savings in numbers.

I will continue this conversation in my next blog – Why Have a Destination Wedding? Stay tuned.

El Dorado Casitas Royale on the Riviera Maya

Written by

We are proud to announce that El Dorado Casitas Royale, by Karisma was named one of CNN Travel's Six Hot Resorts for Adults Only. The article calls the hotel "uber-luxury" and highlights our amenities like private Jacuzzis, beach beds, butler service, and the variety of dining options.

Just returned from my stay at the El Dorado Casitas Royale on the Riviera Maya where I was wowed!!!
The Casitas Royale houses the luxury accommodation of the El Dorado Royale Resort & Spa which is a phenomenal  5 Star gourmet adult’s only all-inclusive resort.  The Casitas suite is a great all-inclusive honeymoon choice for a couple that appreciates privacy, luxury, great service & a huge Jacuzzi tub.  The Casitas Royale section is quiet with several private pools and a perfect beach for the private Mexico beach wedding.  The main area of the El Dorado Royale is livelier but never feels crowded.
You don’t have to be on your honeymoon to enjoy this romantic getaway.  If you appreciate great ala carte dining there are exceptional restaurants throughout the resort.  One evening we dined at the dinner theatre.  A celebrity chef presented a food & wine paring that was entertaining & delicious. One reason why the food tastes so fresh is that the El Dorado Royale produces vegetables in a huge green house on premise.  Take the Green house tour it’s educational & enlightening.
During day there are yoga classes, kayaks, snorkeling, bicycles, dance lessons etc. & many beach beds to choose from.  In the evening visit the intimate bars that dot the resort or dance to the live band which I thought was great.
One of the best moments of my stay was sipping Glen Levit in the Martini Bar & watching a Queen concert on the big screen from the mid 80’s.  Now that's living!!
Call me for honeymoon ideas & the best destination wedding locations.

Why Consider A Destination Wedding?

Written by

Getting married in a beautiful and romantic destination is what every engaged couple dreams of. In addition to making all your dreams come true, a destination wedding is also:

EASY
Most resorts have full-time, onsite wedding planners, arranging every aspect of your special day and leaving you nothing to do but relax.

MEMORABLE
Having your family and special friends around you in a beautiful destination will create a celebration you’ll never forget.

MONEY SAVING
Destination weddings are often less expensive than traditional weddings due to their smaller size. In addition, you’re already in the destination where you plan to spend your honeymoon, and many resorts offer special complimentary weddings or affordable wedding packages. You’ll also spend a lot less by choosing an all-inclusive resort where much of the food and beverage expense is part of the lodging costs that will be assumed by your guests. You can also save more by having your wedding during the slow season in the destination you choose.

SENSIBLE
With many of today’s families spread out throughout the United States, they’ll have to travel to your wedding anyway, so why not have them travel to a beautiful and fun destination instead!?

Booking Direct Does NOT Save Money!

PLANNING A DESTINATION WEDDING OR HONEYMOON?

Booking your destination wedding, or honeymoon direct does NOT save you money!!

The best kept secret in the travel industry is that those who book direct are paying for something that they are not receiving: the services of a professional travel agent.

What do I mean by this?  You will pay my commission or service fee because it is always built into the price of your package by the very supplier who is encouraging you to book direct.    Do they discount my commission to you so you save money…absolutely not!  I realize that we live in a society where goods & services are just a click away but consider this. Once you book direct and give your credit card to the call center in Mumbai India you will receive a computer printout and you are now a computer statistic.  In other words you are on your own. Hopefully nothing will go wrong.

Now that we have determined that prices are equal why not trust the travel planners at Time Travels inc. with your destination wedding, honeymoon or anniversary trip.

For one thing I truly care about my clients and put their interests first.

SEE OUR WEDDING, HONEYMOON & ANNIVERSARY TESTIMONIALS

Our travel agents take pride in giving unbiased opinions to our clients. We are not selling off of one website from one travel supplier.  We compare the competition & offer you current options that often save you money. We advise you on the very best product that meets your travels needs.  We can point out the advantages & disadvantages of several travel companies & point out the best destination wedding location for your group.

We take inter consideration your budget for your honey vacation & also find the best bang for that buck.  We provide documentation & advice about ports & sightseeing options and many times have affiliated offices aboard. One of the most important things we do is analyze your travel insurance needs & help you make the correct decision.

Suppose something does go wrong.  Someone gets sick and your need to return home in a hurry.  Your travel agent is your advocate & will help you through it.  When booking direct you have no advocate. When my clients are traveling I know where they are and what they will most likely encounter.  I worry about them until they return.  I doubt that an online booking engine is capable of this emotion toward a travel statistic.
